Devilish, Wicked Black Comedystar50 tpng Death Becomes Her Discount.
Directed by the amazing Robert Zemeckis, “Death Becomes Her” features a clever script, an awesome cast, and mind-blowing special effects that most Hollywood films lack nowadays. The film centers on the eternal quest for beauty and youth by an aging Hollywood starlet, Madeline Ashton, (played by the brillant Meryl Streep). Her high school rival, Helen, (Goldie Hawn), brings her latest beau to meet Ashton after a campy performance in a musical based on “Sweet Bird of Youth” (get the theme already?).

When Madeline runs off with Helen’s fiance (Bruce Willis) Helen falls into a demented state and becomes obese and determined to get even with Madeline. After discovering a secret potion sold by a Hollywood witch (Isabella Rosellini) both Helen, and later Madeline regain their youth, vitality, and beauty. However, all this comes with strings involving immortality.

The wonderful script pokes fun at many stereotypes, rumors, and realities Hollywood is well-known for. From plastic surgery to the fact that no one has never met a neighbor in Los Angeles, the script is intelligent scriptwriting at its’ best. The special effects by Industrial Light and Magic which has Helen walking with a hole through her midsection, and Madeline walking with a twisted neck are incredible to watch. One thing I adored about this film was the wicked, dark, and diabolical score by Alan Silvestri that incorporates harps and vengeful theme throughout the film.

The film’s ending featuring a legion of Hollywood’s undead (including Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, and James Dean)is hysterical and even the names of the two main characters, Madeline (“Mad” as in crazy) and Helen (“Hell” as in hellish) is genius. Personally along with “She-Devil,” “Heathers,” and “Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills,” this film ranks as one of the best black comedies to come out in recent years. A must-see for everyone!

A TERRIFIC MOVIE THAT WARRANTS A WIDESCREEN RELEASE ASAP!star50 tpng Death Becomes Her Discount.
This movie is a real hoot, with Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn embroiled in a Bette Davis/Joan Crawford-type feud… the plot was pure genius and the special effects were ahead of their time. With terrific performances by all the leads, this one is an “essential video” for your collection.

Siempre Viva!star50 tpng Death Becomes Her Discount.
The passage of time weighs upon us all: the loss of youth’s energy, agility, beauty. But let us say there is a potion, an elixir, “a touch of magic in a world obsessed with science.” Drink it and you will be forever young. Do not drink it and watch yourself rot away with old age. Just such a potion falls into the hands of two women who are not only consumed with vanity but fierce rivals, determined to best each other no matter the cost. Siempre Viva: Live Forever! Whether you like it or not!

With excellent performances, an invective-laced script, and remarkable special effects, DEATH BECOMES HER takes on several great philosophical and literary concepts–and subverts them into one of the most wickedly funny black comedies in recent memory, dishy, bitchy, mean spirited, and a tremendous amount of fun. Film buffs will particularly relish this film, which references everything from THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW to THE WIZARD OF OZ and a host of classic horror films such as FRANKENSTEIN, THE MUMMY, and CAT PEOPLE–and also tacks in everything from Tennessee Williams plays to rock legend Jim Morrison for good measure.

Unfortunately, the DVD release is commonplace, offering the film in pan-and-scan only. To give the release its due, the shift from widescreen to pan-and-scan is expertly done and not in the least distracting–but still, a widescreen option for such a special effects heavy film would be preferred. And while this would seem to be an ideal film for a making-of documentary, the DVD offers only a handful of production notes as bonus. Even so, the film is so extremely well done that I wouldn’t miss it on that account! Recommended.

“Who’s downstairs we don’t need?”star40 tpng 16 Blocks Discount.
Jack Mosley (Bruce Willis) is an aging, rundown, alcoholic cop who, at this stage of his career, finds himself at the bottom of the totem pole. Thus, he gets saddled with the menial errand of escorting smalltime thief Eddie Bunker (Mos Def) 16 blocks from the precinct to the courthouse, where Eddie will testify in a grand jury. But what begins as a routine assignment for Detective Mosley becomes a desperate bid for survival as the bleary eyed, hung-over cop and his charge find themselves under relentless attack by focused, well-armed assailants intent on making sure Eddie doesn’t make it to his court appointment.

16 Blocks is a thinking man’s action thriller. Even though, on the surface, it looks like a suspense film, a case could be made for it to be considered a character study picture. Amidst all the frenetic bullets and chase sequences, you’ll find many moments of casual interaction, as leisurely enacted by Willis, Mos Def and even Morse. Willis and Mos Def, in their mismatched buddy roles, put in some character acting and have several scenes where they just have conversations (some on point, some non sequitur), in between the chases. Mos Def’s motormouth character, in particular, spends an inordinate amount of time just riffing about suits and signs and bakeries.

Bruce Willis continues his recent trend (see Hostage) of portraying jaded, burnt-out cops who end up seizing one last shot at redemption. He excels in playing this type of role: tired, world-weary, kicked-around, maybe even a little corrupt, but, ultimately, someone not to be eff’d with and someone who can be depended upon to doggedly do the right thing (Bruce seriously needs to patent this character). Jack Mosley, as played by Willis, is laconic, paunchy, shuffling, stuck on the bottom rung career wise, and has a dire craving for alcohol. But the audience never doubts he’ll man up when the chips are down.

I’m a fan of Mos Def, from way back when he was just a hip hop artist. Don’t get me wrong, he was and is a great rapper. He flows and rhymes with insight and intelligence. And he’s great as the host of HBO’s Def Poetry. His natural, off-the-cuff style of acting is making folks sit up and pay attention (check out Brown Sugar, The Italian Job, and Something the Lord Made). With 16 Blocks, he comes out of left field with his jazzy interpretation of Eddie Bunker: verbose, optimistic and a bit quirky. The only negative in his portrayal is the grating fashion in which he channels the nasal voice of comedian Eddie Griffin. Other than that, Mos is solid.

David Morse is great as the main villain. He injects his Det. Frank Nugent, Jack’s crooked current supervisor and ex-partner, with equal doses of complexity, cynicism, and immorality. Nugent’s been around the block, knows the ropes and could care less about minimizing collateral damage. Yet, a part of Nugent still cares for his former partner Mosley and regrets having to put him down. But, in the end, he’s gotta do what a dirty cop’s gotta do.

Director Richard Donner gauges the tempo of this movie just right. Not too plodding, but not all out action, either. Oh, the action scenes are plentiful and charged with enough tension but they aren’t break-neckedly constant. There is ample breathing room in between the pursuits, a pace which nicely suits Willis’s middle-aged, gimpy-legged hero, as he actually gets a chance to take in oxygen, in between exchanging gunfire and platitudes.

The sparse Special Features consist of an alternate ending not seen in theaters, several deleted scenes with wiseacre commentary by Richard Donner and his screenwriter, and a theatrical trailer. A film commentary would’ve been nice.

16 Blocks is a well-meaning movie that is introspective and thoughtful, yet strives to give the fans their money’s worth with its done-by-the-numbers shoot-em-up violence. There is a worthy message here trying to make itself heard, thru the voice of Eddie Bunker, that Pollyanna of a crook. The movie has a top-drawer star at the top of his game, who seems, in fact, to get better as he ages. And it’s got Mos Def, who I firmly believe will be heard from for a lot of years to come. Three and a half stars and a solid recommendation.

People Can Changestar50 tpng 16 Blocks Discount.
Veteran director Richard Donner (the first and best “Superman” and “Lethal Weapon”) does an excellent job of moving things along in regards to the plot as well as crisply addressing the psychological, moral and social implications of his characters actions in the terrific “16 Blocks.” And it helps tremendously to have Bruce Willis and Mos Def in the leading roles.
Willis: gutted, disheveled, disgusted with life and his job as an NYC detective, Jack Mosley… swigging out of a 5th of Canadian Club at 8 AM, limping from an injured leg, looking and acting every bit as a man who has given up on life and waiting for retirement so he can put a bullet through his head. But there is a lot more going on in Jack’s head and Willis is very much up to the task of giving him a truthful inner life that both grates on your nerves as well as touches your heart.
Though hampered by a cartoon character voice, the excellent Mos Def gives small time crook Eddie Bunker emotional weight and depth. Eddie’s motto? “People can change” …a mantra that will resonate all through this film.
Donner has tackled some weighty emotional and social issues here: redemption by way of the truth, save a life and that life becomes your responsibility…themes not usually associated with this type of police action picture. In fact”16 Blocks” reminds me very much of Sidney Lumet’s sublime “The Verdict” in its juxtaposition of the casualties of basic human nature and its failings and the morality or lack thereof of Justice.

a pleasant surprisestar40 tpng 16 Blocks Discount.
So my birthday was coming and I wanted to hit the movies of all things. Ultraviolet looked like the kind of movie I’d normally spend money on but the reviews were terrible, so after much deliberation with my wife we “settled” on 16 Blocks.

The movie opens with what appears to be a druken, beat down cop played by Bruce Willis, who is assigned to transport a witness to court. He has two hours to get the witness to court, which is 16 blocks away. Sounds easy enough. Until some bad guys try to off the witness. Now an out of shape, old, drunk cop is all that stands between the witness and his killers.

But that is just the surface of it all. . .

We learn about conspiracies and how a witness and a cop are put into some very hairy situations and struggle to find their way out of those situations.

Remnant of the TV show 24 where gutsy, unexpected actions can get one out of a situation or deeper into one.

The acting was good, though Mos Def’s voice was just as annoying as fingers on a chalk board. Give the guy some decongestant to clear up that nasally tone, please!

The plot twists were not totally telegraphed and thus appreciated instead of “see I told you they were going to do that” feeling.

The “friendship” aspect of the story was emotionally delivering.

The theme or “message” of the movie was well presented and didn’t seem like some cheesy effort on the director/writer’s part to make this more than just an suspense/crime movie. On the contrary the message was clearly given and given well, thus accepted easily and with belief.

Overall, this was a very good movie with some depth to it. Worth paying the movie theater price for.

A Film That Speaks To You?star50 tpng Buy Look Whos Talking At Amazon!
“Look Who’s Talking” is probably my favorite film with Kirstie Alley, my favorite film with John Travolta (though “Grease” comes close) and my favorite film with Bruce Willis (though I’m not exactly a fan of his). It’s funny, it’s romantic, it’s got some innovative special effects, a couple of car chases, and John Travolta even gets to fly a plane (which he must have really enjoyed at the time!).

Kirstie Alley plays Mollie, an accountant who has an office affair with one of her clients (George Segal), and ends up getting pregnant. It wasn’t planned, and she’s a little ashamed of the source, but Mollie soon warms to the idea of having a baby. After a traumatic day late in the preganacy, Mollie goes into labor in the middle of the bustling streets of New York, and takes a cab driven by the easy going James (John Travolta). Though it’s not really what he wants to do (he wants to be a pilot) he’s very good at driving a cab, and gets Mollie there very quickly. She has the baby, Mikey, and he’s something of a thinker (voice/thoughts spoken by Bruce Willis), wondering to himself what this strange world around him is, and who these strange people around him are. He starts to grow up as time goes on, and Mollie decides to look for a father. She made a mistake, and she owes it to Mikey to find him a Dad. She dates here, she dates there, but could the right Dad be staring her in the face this whole time?

Everyone plays their part well, and the plot flows really nicely, bit of action, bit of a thoughtful moment, bit of a laugh. It’s a romatic comedy of sorts, and it’s a funny look at early motherhood, it’s interesting seeing both happening at the same time. It’s one of those films I can watch again and again, and have done over the years. The soundtrack is great too, a mixture of some older pop hits and contemporary 1980s tunes (including “Dumb Things” by Australian musician Paul Kelly during the taxi labor scene, a song I really like).

Overall, it’s a sweet and funny little film, a definitely worth a look for fans of anyone in it. Recommended.

What’s wrong with people – this movie was great!!star50 tpng Buy Look Whos Talking At Amazon!
LOOK WHO’S TALKING actually did very well when it came out. I think these amazon people take things too seriously or don’t have kids, or have such stressful lives they can’t enjoy any kind of humor these movies have. I even enjoyed it when it came out and i was still in elementary school. My mom enjoyed it, and she loved babies and everything that had to do with babies and kids. Parents would enjoy this movie, not all but most. I’m not even one of those “kid lovers” I like kids, but not obsessed or anything like many kid lovers are. But LOOK WHO’S TALKING is a simple comedy with many funny parts like when kirstie alley’s voice turned into a devil voice as she went into labor, because of the pain. To me, and my mom that part was hilarious and many women could relate to that because giving birth is no picnic, especially when it’s your first baby. I’ve never given birth, but i’ve heard the stories. Anyways, i also read many amazon people’s reviews about how horrible look who’s talking too was, i’m thinkin’ what is wrong with people nowadays? That was a cute movie too, the baby girl was as cute as a button, and the acting wasn’t bad. I dont understand that. And at the end when mikey took his baby sisters’s hand and they walked, and you could see her wobbling, and that cute baby walk which is so cute words can’t describe, and the song i got you babe added to the moment. What’s not to love, that was an adorable ending all i could say was AWWWWWW!!! people need to lighten up, especially if you wanna be good parents. Try to enjoy life, and not take things so seriously. These movies were basically about that. All those little funny and heartwarming moments when your kid is born and starts to grow and learn. But LOOK WHO’S TALKING NOW i must agree with the others because it was horrible. It doesn’t make sense frankly, the first two films were about talking babies, why go to dogs? I like dogs and everything buy WHY? It’s almost embarassing to watch. Kind of absurd and yes the acting was horrific, and cheeesy script, and everything in the film was flat out stupid. What next talking furniture and appliances lol. But the first two are still great films, and john travolta is one of my favorite actors, and elias koteas who was in number two was funny, like he was in some kind of wonderful.

Two thumbs up indeed!star50 tpng Buy Look Whos Talking At Amazon!
THIS movie is a classic! Mollie (Kirstie Alley) accidentally becomes pregnant by the wrong man. Seeing that a relationship with the real father just won’t work out, she goes on a search to find a suitable father for her new son, Mikey. While she’s going out searching for the right one, her babysitter, James (John Travolta), has the time of his life watching over Mikey. Could James possibly be more than a babysitter, or is there a better man?

That’s one of the best things about “Look Who’s Talking”. Kirstie Alley and John Travolta have great chemistry together, and they, along with the baby, make this movie a classic that I’ll never forget. The movie takes turns following Mollie around as she meets a bunch of Mr. Wrongs while she tries to find Mr. Right, and Mikey, who has Bruce Willis telling us all what Mikey’s thinking throughout the movie.

“Look Who’s Talking” has several parts that you’ll probably remember for the rest of your life once you see them, such as the opening sequence that shows hundreds of creatures inside the body talking to each other as they race for the endzone, and my favorite, the part where the song “Walking on Sunshine” plays as James shows Mikey how to dance.

That brings me to another point. “Look Who’s Talking” has a GREAT soundtrack. From the upbeat “Walking on Sunshine”, to the overly catchy “Let My Love Open the Door”, you might find yourself jamming along to some of the tunes while both hemispheres of your brain work together to form your overall opinion of the movie itself.

If you ask me, I say that “Look Who’s Talking” is one of the best movies of the late 80′s, and I’d even go so far as saying it’s one of the best in its genre. It’s funny, it has good drama and acting, and it’s entertaining from start to finish. What more can you ask for? Get it now!

“Billy Bathgate” had the pains to be released the year after “Goodfellas”, Scorsese’s tremendous gangster film which revived interest in the genre. Upright, “Billy Bathgate” is also about gangsters, but if you know the works of its director, Robert Benton, and those of Scorsese, you know they are not similar directors at all. While both men are fascinated by engaging characters, Benton is more vivid and less visceral. Even in his most well-known early screenplay, “Bonnie and Clyde”, the characters utilize a surprising amount of time sitting around and talking prior to the movie’s imperfect and violent climax. So, “Billy Bathgate” does not provide as noteworthy action or as many gut level situations as a typical gangster film. What is has is ample atmosphere, a literate script by Tom Stoppard, shiny cinematography by Nestor Almendros, and some lively performances.

Billy [Loren Dean] is a vivid kid growing up in Recent York in the 1930s. The son of impoverished immigrants, he is getting most of his education in the streets. In his neighborhood, the heroes are gangsters like Dutch Shultz [Dustin Hoffman] and his men because they describe a diagram to climb out of poverty and to score respect. One day Billy catches Shultz’s spy and is soon working for him. The kid’s not violent but he witnesses many acts of violence. These obviously unnerve him, but the lure of a rapidly buck is strong. Things secure complicated when he is effect in charge of looking after a rich society dame [Nicole Kidman], who has a sham marriage to a satisfied but great Unique Yorker. She gets her kicks by dating gangsters. She’s in awful concern because of something she saw, but she doesn’t seem to be aware of it, though Billy is. He’s also aware that she’s the most aesthetic and clean woman he’s ever met.

I view the movie was racy and well done. I can stare why others might win it too dumb and talky. It has an elegance and a dignity that is somewhat at odds with its subject matter, but I found this contradiction racy. I also enjoyed watching Ms. Kidman in a role that predates both her American stardom and her years as Mrs. Tom Flit. No one at the time was aware of the phenomenon she would later become, but looking at her from a decade’s distance, all the signs are plainly there.

“Billy Bathgate” charts the seemingly charmed path of a resourceful street kid (Loren Dean) who latches on to the Dutch Shultz gang in Dewey-era Fresh York City. Shultz (Dustin Hoffman) has a gang which has seen the zenith of its power; its fighting to believe his dwelling in a world where Irish and Italian politicians and mobsters are on the ascendancy.

The movie opens with an initial act of betrayal, and the moll (Nicole Kidman) is thrust upon both the man and the boy. The movie is blessed with strong performances by secondary characters played by Steven Hill, Steve Buscemi, Stanley Tucci, Bruce Willis, and a number of other actors whose faces you know but might not be able to name.

Since seeing this movie originally at the theatre and several times on cable tv, I’ve wondered why it didn’t have a bigger following. I’ll offer up a few reasons, all of which may clarify why a stout and touching movie is under-appreciated. First, the ostensible lead character–Loren Dean’s Billy–is not really the lead character, he’s the eye (and possible catalyst) to the arc of the Shultz gang; Mr Dean, who’s turned out to be a terrific and underutilized character actor, alas, does not seemed to have had the kind of star power to give the movie a higher profile. The film’s erstwhile “star”, Dustin Hoffman, plays a character that doesn’t have the dominating mask time to construct this his yarn or the film Hoffman’s. Finally, the film doesn’t really follow the standard arc of a Hollywood hero’s journey: the Shultz gang is on the decline, and its not obvious that the boy is on the ascent.

If nothing else one has to give credit to the WWE for attempting to spread out further than the squared circle. While their attempt at a recent football franchise failed, their diving into the world of film has done well for them. Some movies hit highs and some fall to lows but they’re almost always involving. They also provide a jumping board for the careers of their wrestlers. Such is the case with John Cena.

Cena has starred in one film already, the well received THE MARINE. An action film seemed a natural leap for him and he did a magnificent job handling acting and action chores both with ease. The next step was finding a follow up vehicle and that came about with the novel release 12 ROUNDS.

Cena stars as Unique Orleans policeman Danny Fisher who winds up by circumstance in the middle of an FBI hunt to track down a terrorist named Miles Jackson (Aidan Gillen) . A inch follows and after he stops the terrorist, Jackson tells his girlfriend to bustle before he takes the time to ogle an oncoming truck in her path. Blaming Fisher for her death, he swears they’ll meet again.

Fast forward one year later and Danny is now a detective. He heads to work only to obtain a phone call. It’s Jackson and he informs Danny that he’s taken Danny’s girlfriend Molly (Ashley Scott) hostage. Honest to let him know he’s serious, Jackson blows up Danny and Molly’s house while Danny watches. He then tells him they’re going to play a game with the life of Molly hanging in the balance. All Danny has to do is accumulate the majority of the 12 rounds Jackson has planned for him.

Danny contacts his partner on the force for assistance and then heads out to win on the first round. Each one sets him up for a life or death space for either himself or some innocent person who finds themselves interested in helping him. While he rejoices at the wins, he begins to feel guilty over the losses as they involve the death or injury of someone else.

Along the contrivance the FBI become enthusiastic since they’ve been watching all along. Of course Danny’s not to eager to work with them since they failed to reveal him earlier of the prison smash titillating Jackson. Unlikely allies launch to work together to try and steal down this inflamed man while saving Molly at the same time.

Steve Harris stars as Special Agent George Aiken, the main agent in charge of catching Jackson from the commence. His concerns focus more on the recapture than on saving Molly. Of course this results in head to head conflict with Danny and his goal of saving the woman he loves. Agent Aiken has a personal reason for wanting Jackson caught as well but eventually realizes he may have attach his personal interests above the life of this woman.

The clock is ticking and with only so many hours allotted for Danny to complete all of his tasks, he struggles to catch a plan to beat Jackson at his hold game. Beaten down, battered along the diagram, the final showdown approaches. Only then will we see who wins and who loses the game of 12 rounds.

Cena does a pretty job here with only one plight. He’s never given worthy chance to act. Perhaps that’s the plan, giving him unprejudiced enough moments to convince people of his sincerity but for the most section objective jumping, running and fighting to come the films conclusion. Cena can do a decent job of acting but unless he’s given the opportunity, his chances of a long term career in film dwindles.

While the film does offer the requisite amount of action with minimal amount of location, the twists and turns Jackson puts Danny through are unique for the most fraction. But as I was watching this film I kept thinking I’d seen it before. It was only after I was reminded by a friend that I set aside it all together and realized that Bruce Willis was shapely considerable set aside through the paces of games that kept him running in DIE HARD 3. While this film is not an right copy, the overall feeling creeps in at times.

That being said, it remains a splendid allotment of entertainment. The production values are well done and all the money spent to originate the portray shows on the conceal. Rarely has Unique Orleans looked this obedient and with the awful press of Katrina, it’s nice to peer the locale faded once again.

All in all you won’t do putrid by renting this film to study. And for Cena fans, you’ll want to add it to your collection. But let’s hope that he gets the chance to stretch himself a diminutive further in his next film. Only then can he hope to accomplish greater stardom rather than win himself in the straight to DVD category.

In his earlier movie, John Cena was The Marine, which was not very well received. In 12 Rounds, he stars as Detective Danny Fischer of Unusual Orleans Police Department. This movie is definitely a step up from The Marine as Cena has developed his acting and action skills further. The epic is attractive and the action sequences are spectacular but one gets the feeling of having seen it all somewhere before. The bus bomb sequence is ripped from Urge – the bus number here is 5050, in Run it is 2525. The blowing up of Cena’s partner is another scene that takes me befriend to Hasten [Blu-ray]. The streetcar sequence is somewhat similar to the grunt sequence in Spider-Man 2, but the action is more `human’ than superhuman, so to drawl. Others remind me of the various Die Hard movies.

Nevertheless, the director and the writers deserve credit for integrating all these sequences into a seamless whole so that it does not feel contrived or even impossible (we know it is) . Aiden Gillen is edifying as the villain of the part, terrorist Miles Jackson. For once, the hero in this movie does not try to do everything on his contain – he reluctantly agrees to FBI cooperation.

It is also stout to perceive Modern Orleans being mature as a locale for an action film. We are quite musty to seeing L.A., Modern York and Chicago as a backdrop for action movies, but this was a revelation. The city looks glowing on blu-ray and even the many night scenes are well done. The film makers have gone to vast lengths to exercise authentic settings, though I do not know the extent to which they feeble FX and CGI. The ending of the film was never in doubt, but it was a fitting finale. I have not yet seen the alternative endings, though. One word about the Digital Copy – it suffers from too many artifacts in some rapidly engrossing scenes, but the overall presentation is superb.

Cena’s acting career is unbiased starting to steal off and this is a distinguished better outing than The Marine. The future can only be brighter. This film can heartily be recommended for all action lovers.

Words cannot direct how mighty I worship this movie, but I will try my best. “Pulp Fiction” is one of my favorites. Quentin Tarantino is a very gifted director/writer. Although I treasure his directing, I must say it is his writing that really impresses me. But I will score to that later on in this review.

I believe it’s suited to say that the first time this movie was released on DVD, it was a slight more than disappointing. There were no special features, sound and relate was so-so; I mean, my laserdisk at least had three different trailers of the movie. So, of course, I was very mad to learn that this movie was being re-released in a fully loaded special edition. Re-buying the movie was well worth it, for this edition of the movie is far estimable than the other one.

The movie really consists of three different stories; not in any order. Any one of the stories could be their fill microscopic movies. The players are two hitmen, a boxer, the vast boss, the tall boss’ wife, a crazy gun store owner, a gimp, a cop named, Zed, a man who makes problems go away, and a slight suitcase with “666″ for the combination. You add all this together and you find one hell of a movie.

The acting is more than superb; including one terrific cast with some heavy hitters (Travolta, Jackson, Thurman, Willis, etc.) . Tarantino is a master when it comes to writing and directing. Especially when it comes to writing. I have never heard such clever and brutally just dialogue in any other movie. I have said it before, and I will say it again; Tarantino reminds me of Raymond Carver, except with more humor.

Now, on to the special edition of this DVD. Is it better than the previous version? YES! Tons of special features, and not to forget the fact that the movie has been restored in high definition. Describe looks very distinct. And the sound is also a lot better. You can peep the movie in DTS, which is always a profitable thing.

Special features…..where do I open? There’s a ton of them! It’s not even comical how remarkable stuff is loaded on this awful boy. And every one of them is mountainous. Features include a documentary, an interview with Tarantino on “The Charlie Rose Present,” trailers, filmographies, and many more. If you admire special features, then you will not be disappointed.

Filled with intriguing humor, colossal characters, outstanding dialogue, and some of the craziest surprises and twists, “Pulp Fiction” is a extraordinary film, and will continue to be one of my favorites.

“Pulp Fiction” is like a new with five chapters that was ripped apart and set aside support together with the chapters all mixed up in random order — where does it open and where does it waste? That said, it’s a hilarious crazy-quilt of a movie, superbly directed by Quentin Tarantino. And yes, there is a straight anecdote line throughout… chronologically, the trusty sage begins with Samuel Jackson and John Travolta on their method to a hit ordered by their boss Ving Rhames, and ends with Bruce Willis and his pregnant girlfriend zooming out of town on a homicidal maniac’s stolen motorcycle. Each short narrative in the movie is complete in itself, and yet each makes up fraction of the whole. The actors are terrific. Jackson and Travolta are astronomical as the two hitmen Jules and Vince; Uma Thurman is honest correct as the boss’s wife; Bruce Willis is amusing and yet inviting as the boxer who saves the boss’s life after the boss ordered a hit on him, and Harvey Keitel steals the whole movie with his performance as the almost inhumanly efficient Wolf. Even Tarantino himself can’t resist joining the fun and plays the role of Jules’s sometime partner Jimmie, very annoyed at being roused out of bed at the crack of dawn to attend dispose of a semi-headless corpse. There are so many priceless scenes in this film that it’s hard to win a accepted. It’s a wild, crazy, mind-boggling movie that gets better and better each time you peer it.
