Songs include: “I Haven’t The Time To Be A Millionaire”, “Meet The Sun Halfway”, “April Played The Fiddle”, “The Pessimistic Character (With The Crab Apple Face) “, “If I Had My Draw”, “Ida, Sweet As Apple Cider”, and “Rings On My Fingers”.
Disc 3-
Here Approach The Waves (1944;dir. Tag Sandrich) – This peppy wartime musical stars Bing Crosby as radio crooner Johnny Cabot, the heartthrob of millions. To elope his frenzied fans, Johnny joins the Navy, where is he ordering to befriend a WAVE recruiting drive. his is the film in which Bing Crosby and Sonny Tufts, both in blackface, introduce the Johnny Mercer-Harold Arlen standard “Accen-tu-ate the Distinct”.
We have this situation strictly for IF I HAD MY Device, the 1940 musical co-starring Bing Crosby and Gloria Jean. Every version that has appeared on television and in theaters for six decades has been Universal’s 1946 reissue, which is missing some Gloria Jean footage and almost all of the featured appearances by vaudeville stars.
It is a pleasure to picture that Universal consulted the fresh 1940 release for this glorious DVD edition. The film is fully complete with all of its new (undoctored) titles. The entire procure is on parade here, including Gloria Jean’s charming “Small Grey Home in the West,” seen and heard for the first time in 66 years. The guest-star specialties are intact: Blanche Ring and Eddie Leonard instruct their signature numbers backed by Six Hits and a Miss; Paul Gordon does a trick-cycling act; Trixie Friganza, Julian Eltinge, and Grace La Rue appear as themselves.
A dazzling ensemble cast (El Brendel, Allyn Joslyn, Charles Winninger, Nana Bryant, Claire Dodd, Moroni Olsen, Donald Woods) lends blooming succor to Bing and Gloria, who disclose memorably. If you like Bing Crosby, this is very savory and highly representative of his talents. The restoration job is sterling, with the long-lost deletions artfully fitted benefit into the standard vault print. Characterize and sound are also grand. The restored IF I HAD MY Design is a major accept for movie-musical fans, and the DVD is highly recommended.

As is the case with each and every one of my One Portion reviews, I have to originate by confessing a distinct unwavering approval-factor of this series honest off the bat. For a property with the word “shonen” factual there in its title, the present is surprisingly devoid of the usual formulaic clichés that bog down most entries into the genre. Rather than endless fighting in some mystical tournament, One Fraction has absolutely mastered the art of giving fighting fans what they want and blending it with a nice adventure-driven position with current (and likable) characters to boot. Suffice to say, I was bent immediately.

That said, Season Two, Third Voyage contains episodes 79-91 of the ongoing saga across two discs. The packaging, as has been the case with all of the Spot 1 releases thus far, consists of two thin packs within an dazzling cardboard outer slipcase. Runtime comes in at 320 minutes and the explain wears an appropriate if not slightly conservative TV 14 rating (due to a trusty dose of cartoony violence rather than defective language, nudity, or gore) .
Language options are standard sub & dub, which means the viewer has the choice of the recent Japanese dialog track (stereo) or an English dub (Dolby Digital 5.1) and the option of running English subtitles with either.

Special features consist of textless songs, Funimation trailers, and marathon play option (turns each disc into one continuous episode), and an English staff commentary over episode 87 (note: this last one is not located in the Special Features portion but rather in the episode selection. It is very easy to miss!)
The One Portion Season Two Third Voyage basically picks up where the Second Voyage left off in that the Strawhats remain on a mission to negate the Princess Vivi to her homeland of Alabasta. However, sheer survival is the more immediate goal of this chunk of episodes with Nami fighting an extremely high fever, which causes the crew to port at the frigid island of Drum in search of medical abet.
Pursued by a metal-mouthed pirate king named Wapol and his goons (including the hilarious detachable-afro wielding Kuromarimo), there is no shortage of conflict for the big-hearted crew this time around.
Fans of the exhibit will likely tag this entire allotment of the saga as the introduction/ origin sage of the “only in Japan” adorable talking reindeer, Chopper. His segment is tantalizing if not a bit heavy on the dramatic side (prepare for a lot of character-crying) .
In all honesty, I cannot say that this has been my absolute paramount fraction of the overall prose but it is an improvement to the last portion (Season Two, Second Voyage) in my plan anyway. Unbiased like last time I inform my fill disappointment comes from the fact that there isn’t a whole lot of oceanic pirating to recount nor are our substandard crew’s special powers utilized to quite the degree of awesomeness that fans have grown to seek information from. Then again considering the amazing length of the display, I guess island side tangents are to be expected.
Of course this isn’t to say that there aren’t a valid stream of near-invincible baddies to dispatch, damsels in afflict to rescue, or gay ignorance displayed by the marvelous captain, Monkey D. Luffy, the epic honest seems to jaunt off on several sidetracks along the contrivance.
Hopefully by now fans have reach to seek information from the fact that the expose will slay on a cliffhanger (which may or may not be considered a profitable thing to those of us forced to wait patiently for the next installment to near!)
Fans of the present will continue to appreciate the fresh, washed-out visual style that has become One Piece’s staple over time. The sound work is location on in both language options with the English dub working impartial about as well in every aspect as the recent Japanese track (especially the inform of Kuromarimo which is impartial region on in the dub) .
At times it’s almost hard to bear that it has been exactly a decade since this collection debuted on television airwaves. While advances in animation process and technology are undisputable, the charm that made One Part a gem then is undoubtedly reveal now.
In all a must-own collection for those of us who have been taking the voyage thus far (even if it isn’t the best mini chronicle arc per se’) . The special features are quite nice (the English staff commentary track actually contains the harshest language of the whole compilation gain it or not) and the packaging maintains the agreeable glimpse and feel of its predecessors. My only complaint comes in the obtain of the ending of episode 91 as its inconclusive nature has me anxiously awaiting the next One Fragment release. You would mediate I would be musty to this pattern by now…
A riddle: What has a blue nose, a pink top hat, antlers, is studying to be a doctor, and runs on Rumble Balls? Tony Tony Chopper, of course, and he looks to be the perfect ship’s doctor that Luffy is searching for, that is if Luffy and Sanji don’t cook him for dinner first! Having the powers of the Human Human Devil Fruit, Chopper can shapeshift from a reindeer to a variety of human-reindeer hybrids, including the fierce looking sasquatch perform that appears on the package. Most of the time, though, Chopper is a cute, round bodied creature about 3 feet astronomical.
After a difficult climb, Nami, Luffy, and Sanji are brought to the mountain top castle of Kureha, the only free doctor on Drum Island. Kureha looks and acts like a witch (she is over 100 years ancient and detached considers herself young) but she nurses Nami relieve to health, insisting that Nami stop a few days until she recovers completely. Meanwhile, the pirate captain Wapol, who had previously encountered Luffy’s crew at sea, hears that Luffy and Co. have arrived at Drum Island and are defiantly holding out at Kureha’s castle. Obsessed with completing his control over Drum Island, Wapol and his crew storm the castle, but they hurry into Chopper, who displays his bizarre but awesome fighting abilities. After Wapol’s defeat, Chopper decides to join Luffy’s crew and the Going Merry heads for Alabasta, where Crocodile and the Baroque Works await. As they come Alabasta, the crew is visited by a seemingly pleasurable transvestite (Bon Clay) who entertains them with his ability to copy their appearances, not suspecting that this man is actually Mr. 2 of the Baroque Works. This incident has major implications later, especially for lady’s-man Sanji.
The war for Alabasta begins in the next 3 Voyages of One Fraction! Don’t miss it!

Movie Title: Cinderella Cinderella is available for streaming or downloading. |
I own that the 1950 Disney adaption of the fairy yarn by Charles Perrault is one of the most common Disney movies released since 1937. This movie is comic, shaded, and charming at the same time, which may sound impossible for some movies.
I have watched this movie since I was 2, and I am now 12, and let me assure you that after 10 years, you never accept tired of it. I have the Masterpiece copy on this page, and it is very, very old-fashioned out, so I cannot wait for Disney to re-release this classic on Disney VHS and DVD in 2007, so I can consume it and technically accumulate my hands on it!
Anyway, this movie is about a girl named Cinderella, who’s father and mother have both died. She is forced to live with her vain and frightening stepsisters and cruel stepmother, and furthermore is forced to become a slave in her hold home.

Cinderella’s only friends are the actual mice, the birds, the dog an also the horse. One day, an invatation arrives from the palace, stating that every eligible maiden in the kingdom has to succor to a royal ball, honoring the return of the prince.
Cinderella’s stepmother lies to her, saying she can go only if she gets her chores done, and if she finds something pleasurable to wear.
She does all her chores, while her animal friends obtain a dress for her. Sadly, the stepsisters trek it up, and leave. However, Cinderella meets her Fairy Godmother, who sends her off to the ball, but she has to be help before the stroke of midnight, otherwise, the spell will be broke…

Enjoy this Disney masterpiece once again, which proves that dreams can advance apt.
In an misfortune to revive his sagging animation department, Walt Disney turned once again to a fairy narrative. This time around, he chose one of the best known and oldest of them all, Cinderella.

The story is familiar. A attractive girl is abused by her stepmother and stepsisters and forced to work as their slave. When a ball is given for all the eligible maidens in the kingdom, Cinderella dreams of going too, only to have her hopes dashed at the last itsy-bitsy. With a gift of magic, she is able to go, but only until the stroke of midnight.
The narrative is so well known, if fact, that any memoir about an underdog coming from slow and winning is called a Cinderella myth. Disney’s job here was to obtain the chronicle challenging for 75 minutes. The solution here was creating the animals. Mice Jaq and Gus and their constant struggle against the base cat Lucifer is droll and tying this sub-plot to the ultimate outcome is quick-witted. The other standout character is the stepmother who is frighteningly improper with no shapely powers.

As with any Disney movie, this one also has mammoth songs. Arguably the best known is “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo.” Fair late it is “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes.” My well-liked, however, is the often overlooked fancy song “So This is Treasure.”
While not the best release in the Platinum series, it unruffled stacks up well. The movie has been restored, and it looks titanic to me. I’m not a nitpicker, but I can’t accumulate any problems with the corpulent frame narrate, the unique aspect ratio. There is an enhanced 5.1 home theater mix, which doesn’t seem quite as impressive as some other releases. It seems more like the sound coming equally from all speakers. Of course, given the age of the film, there probably isn’t great more they could do. For purists, there is an novel soundtrack on the disc as well.
The extras in this space seem to be split between instruct for kids and adults, with the kids winning. Disc one includes a unique version of “A Dream is a Wish” with the stars of several Disney Channel series. It also has several “Cinderella stories” in sports moments, a outlandish feature to me. Disc two includes several features about living like a princess.
Also on disc two are the bonus features adult fans of this movie will want to notice. There are two “deleted scenes,” which are really abandoned songs with the storyboards created for them. In edition there are more abandoned songs with no storyboards on here. It’s comely keen watching how various ideas went from one fabricate to another before finally making it into the movie. Other extras include a thirty-eight small documentary about the creation of the demonstrate, including achieved interviews with the animators leisurely the exhibit. We are also treated to an overview of how the movie progressed over the years it was in development, a tribute to the “Nine Musty Men,” Disney’s “Laugh-O-Gram” version of the tale from 1922, and radio promotion from the time. I was thrilled to behold trailers from the movie’s multiple releases here. Unfortunately, there is no commentary in seek.
This Platinum DVD release means that all of Disney’s fascinating movies have been keep on DVD at some point in the last few years. While the Platinum series isn’t quite as nice for adult fans as they musty to be, this is mild a release that fans of the movie will want to assume up.

Sweet movie with good message![]()
Our three and a half year old daughter wanted to see this movie after seeing a preview on the Nick Jr website. The only other Barbie movie we have watched was the Nutcracker, and while it was a cute movie with beautiful ballet sequences, it had too many scary parts for her. We watched A Mermaid’s Tale tonight as a special treat after a particularly traumatic day involving blood testing for allergies. I was pleasantly surprised in this movie. The animation is fantastic, beautiful and lifelike. The characters are sweet. And the story line (you must realize we are talking it’s for small children who love Barbie and fantasy) is easy to follow and fun. My daughter loved it. The “scary” parts weren’t too scary, some sharks, a few jelly fish, and the mean Queen. And while she is mean, it’s nothing like the Queen in Sleeping Beauty that can give very young children nightmares for weeks. The movie’s message is that it is okay to be different. We are very particular about what we let our daughter watch. She watches Max and Ruby, the Wonder Pets, The Berenstain Bears, Little Bear, Olivia and occasionally Maggie and the Ferocious Beast. She has seen the Tinkerbell movies, but didn’t enjoy the other Disney movies, as the bad guys are always too scary. She doesn’t see any network TV or commercials in general. She saw the commercial for this on the Nick Jr website, and only after we had watched it first. My husband and I especially appreciated the fact that there weren’t references to things she wouldn’t understand, there weren’t jokes thrown in for the adults only, and that is was sweet and simple with no violence, no name calling and nothing offensive. I would gladly watch it again with her, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to a parent who was looking for a sweet, fun movie for little girls who love pretend and make-believe and believe it’s possible Mermaids are really out there in the ocean somewhere.
The Other Little Mermaid![]()
Okay, everybody knows we’re not dealing with Pixar here. I suspect Barbie movies are churned out of some nondescript factory in New Jersey (though I have yet to confirm those suspicions). But be that as it may, we accept Barbie movies for what they are: pleasant and relatively wholesome vehicles for selling products and offering parents a 1 and a 1/2 hour reprieve from the bedlam created by young girls. With that intro, here is my eight year old’s review (as dictated to me):
“This movie is an enjoyable, unforgettable adventure. It is one of the best movies with fantasy. It has a great story and animation. This movie is a delightful film to watch.”
A Mermaid Tale: Fin-tastic or one big wipe-out?![]()
I bought this the day it came out, and watched it with some of my younger little friends, ages 5-8. If I went by them, it’d be a ‘Fish-A-Licious’ 5 stars. However, I don’t completely agree.
The storyline is a bit of a twist on the same old Kingdom-owning-craze that Barbie movies have become infamous for. This time, evil in the form of Eris, the good queen’s sister, reigns. Eris stole the throne from Calissa, and it’s the good guys (er, girls) trying to restore peace and happiness. Merliah Summers is ex-Queen Calissa’s daughter, and a champion surfer. When she ‘comes of age’ and discovers she’s part mermaid, she dives into the sea to try and find the mother she’s never known, help Calissa, and hopefully get back her ‘normal’ self.
This one is decidedly more modern, the conversations are a little more mature, and yet some parts are even more juvenile. There is talk of Merliah’s dad, who died in an accident, and Calissa’s pregnacy and the oddity of mermaids marrying humans. None of it is overt or uncomfortable, but it’s little changes like this that help balance out the more childish elements. Merliah acts like a brat, smarting off to her grandfather, being rude to Zuma and her friends, and talking a little too much about herself. However, in the the end, it turns out she’s acting like this because she feels like a misfit and a freak. Her mother proceeds to tell her, “You’re unique. These differences don’t make you bad, but special in your own way.” The animation isn’t nearly as high quality as the others, but as far as I’ve seen, there haven’t been any huge flaws. The underwater motions were well animated, and the surfing scenes were excellent. The music is modern and really fun. There are tons of cute mer-oriented words and catch phrases thrown in, such as “Bloomingtail’s” “Seaphora” as well as songs like “Swimmin’ on Sunshine.” My biggest problem was the phsycic Destinies, whose faces go blank, eyes facant, and bodies glowing when they forsee the future. That, and the gleeful exclamtion of, “You’re Merliah’s Spirit Guide!” from Hadley left a bitter taste in my mouth, thinking, “How am I gonna explain to these little girls that dabbling in spirit-fortune telling and phsycadelic glowing mermaids are wrong????”
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed this movie. It was lots of fun, sweet, and bright colors. Cute, but not great. Enjoyable, but not one of the ones I’d watch over and over again. I would say “Barbie’s Worst!” but that’s a little too drastic. It’s not too mature for girls to swallow, and yet it’s got a little more ‘salt’ thrown in for older viewers. I wish, though, that Barbie would return to the more classic princess style of movies. The Three Musketeers was great, with a good storyline and plain, girl-power wholesome fun, where all the girls shone-not just Barbie. The upcoming movie, Barbie in a Fashion Fairytale, looks to be utterly ridiculous. Barbie looks awful, and the plot seems bland. “Will Barbie and her dog Sequin find their inner Sparkle?!?” Whoopee. Tell me this isn’t the direction Barbie’s moving in! Go back to classical music and princesses if that’s what it takes, Barbie!

It’s a extraordinary film, high in its characterizations and interactions. Here’s the lowdown on the film as far as genre, inform and art style.
Genre: Drama/Sci-Fi. It is more a drama than a Science Fiction, though it contains elements of Sci-fi, unexplainable technology and distant future/alternate dimenional settings. It is mainly a drama pitted together in a outrageous place.
Artstyle: Realistic, similar to the Gundam Series, Princess Mononoke, Vampire Hunter D. Lacks the popular anime features: exaggerated facial expressions (blown up eyes, river size stir trails), exaggerated bodily features (larger than life breasts, muscles where muscles honest aren’t) .
Buy,Download, Or Stream Now and Then, Here and There! Click Here
Violence: High level. Bloody corpse, blood. Brutality, cruel behavior. It suggests rape twice and shows an attempt at rape. There is no needless violence, every opinion of violence has an emotional and psychological impact on the characters. The rape scenes follow in the same pattern. This is a tasteful film which paces its violent scenes in rotund context with the myth and the development of the characters and their position. Not suggested for young children.
Setting: In foreign land/world/time (described as the distant future by many sources) . Postapocolyptic, during a tall war. World is under an coarse drought, water is very well-known (this is a main insist in the film but does not superscede the situations of the characters.
Themes: Finding ones station in life; Doing what is expected Versus Doing what is right; Survival; The value of Life.

Jist: I don’t know what it is with the Japanese and Guys with sticks helping a helpless girl (ICO for example) . You have a guy saving a girl. From the beginning until the waste this is what it is mainly about, though intelligent many other characters.
I net the most critical element of this film to be its characters. They are so diverse in their maintain way; there aren’t a hundred different characters but each comes from a setting, sometimes similar with others, but they all have completely different situations. A lot of the situations commence from one main point: being forced into another diagram of living. The scheme they deal with it and their proper method of living is different. Shu’s region is the main focus, as is determined from the beginning of the film. After becomming invovled with Lala-ru he is obvious to serve her. She is probably the most influencial character, every character is effected by her either directly or indirectly. But Shu is the only one that is intent upon saving her, some even despise her. You’ll gather a lot of mystery surrounding her; her name is known apparently world wide and many rumors and speculations are going around about her no one really quite knows why she is so essential to the King, excpet the King (obviously) and his closest and most true servant Abelia.
If you are an Anime fan then this should be at least viewed if not in your library. All three are wonderfully dwelling with 13 episodes that don’t let up or maintain between. It’s kinda like a 13 share OVA. I would highly recommend this for fans of Princess Mononoke, Vampire Hunter D/bloodlust. Young audiences may not be beneficial for the violent/graphic/realistic nature of some themes and instances and these instances and themes may not even interest young audiences to start with. It is a movie about emotions, and they can be heavy at times. I rapidly added this to my library, give it a rent in the least. There are many more incredible things i could say about this film, but i’d probably give it all away (it doens’t have any Sixth Sense style surprises though) .
Everyone i know of that has seen it has loved it. It’d adorable and worthy. And they all loved Abelia impartial as grand as they loved Sara
Now and Then, Here and There, from the very first episode, struck me as being one of the most exquisite anime series I’d ever seen. The art and direction are spectacular and earn the darkness of the world all the more haunting, the nicer parts even more refreshing. The characters are complex and extraordinarily entertaining and you feel pity for them when they suffer – and in many cases, suffer they do – and joy when they regain moments of happiness. And the storyline keeps one riveted from demolish to extinguish. From the interrupted tranquility of the first episode to the gentle hope of the last, N&T,H&T is one of the finest anime works in my collection.
That said, it is brutal. The main villains are among the most bad individuals portrayed in this kind of medium, and their bloodthirsty will for power literally angered me when I was watching the display. There is severe brutality inflicted upon the heart-broken children of the world of Hellywood. Beatings, in one case a rape, the like. It can regain depressing, severely so, and should probably be watched in a group for that reason – but it does deserve to be seen. Perhaps it’s not really “delicious,” but that’s not the sole purpose of an enchanting series. If you can come by through the difficulties, there are things that are really fair about this display. They’re more than worth it.
