Lady Ninja Kasumi Vol. 2 picks up where Vol. 1 left off, as Kasumi face off against Hattori Hanzo and his legions of assassins. The sex scenes were always a treat and the action was okay. This is a marvelous DVD to lift.

It turns out the Hunter Exam unbiased becomes more brutal as time goes on. And “Hunter X Hunter, Vol. 2″ sees our heroes to the ruin of the exam, but they have some chilling and sometimes unsightly obstacles in their contrivance before they can find their licenses. And while there are some tedious spots (a whole episode of Gon angsting? ) the whole anime-only battleship arc fleshes out the test and characters nicely.

First, the gang has to do Trick Tower — Leorio’s match is a snide failure, and Killua’s sets him against a mass murderer of nightmarish skill. And at the demolish of the path, the five potential Hunters are forced to determine whether to fight each other to decide who will continue.
Then the passing applicants are taken to a stout battleship-turned hotel, where they are forced to dive for worship to pay their plot. But when the hoteliers vanish during the night, the group must figure out a method to rep to the next phase of the exam, with only wrecked ships as their transportation. Unfortunately, something deadly is brewing in the island’s bay, and the only draw to survive is to work together to somehow free the grounded battleship.

The next phase isn’t grand fun either — a week on Zevil Island, where the applicants must hunt each other for their numbered badges. Unfortunately Gon has drawn Hisoka, but the psycho-clown isn’t the only jam for the gang. And in the final phase of the exam, the applicants are do into a series of one-on-one fights — but one of the combatants has a ghastly message for Killua.
“Hunter X Hunter Volume 2″ basically has the complete second half of the Hunter Exam, and it’s a bit grimmer and more perilous than the phases that have gone before. In the meantime, there’s a bit more exploration of the supporting characters (such as chatterbox ninja Hanzo, who spends a whole episode in his underwear), and an entire arc that was made up for the anime but is detached surprisingly sterling.
Some of the scenes wander on too long, such as a drugged Gon agonizing about Hisoka, throwing up under a tree and floating in a stream… for what seems like a whole episode. Thankfully there are only a few of these moments, and instead we have some spectacular action sequences exciting battleship cannons, tidal waves, blowguns and fishing rods. And the final round of one-on-one fights gets fairly shocking when Kurapika fights the increasingly crazed Hisoka (who starts slurping his bear blood off a card!), and when Gon gets the torturous once-over by Hanzo.
Fortunately between the life-threatening experiences, there’s also some fun comedy (Kurapika’s violent reaction to Leorio in the nude) and laughable dialogue (“What IS this? It’s sinful, procure it off me!” exiguous assassin-boy Killua howls after catching his first fish) . And one entire episode is devoted to the applicants frantically cramming for a written exam that never happens.
The happy-go-lucky Gon experiences some personal storms here, especially when Hisoka takes pity on him rather than regarding him as an equal, but his sunny personality remains fairly loyal. More of Kurapika’s bloody past is revealed when he finds a Kurta ship wrecked in the bay, and the chatterbox ninja Hanzo is shown in two different ways — as a competent, knowledgeable leader who can and will torture almost anyone, and as a quirky guy who spends most of one episode in his underwear (“… if I salvage any hotter, I consider my brain is gonna melt!”) .
Killua demonstrates his super-assassin skills (casually plucking out a heart), but seems to be on the path to being a normal small boy — but a rather mind-twisting encounter with one of the other applicants leaves it unclear what will happen next with him.
“Hunter X Hunter Volume 2″ is a solid continuation and waste to the Hunter Exam, but a monstrous ruin twist serves as the lead-in to a future arc. It’s determined the scamper is nowhere reach over.
Great box station! A mammoth improvement over the first box dwelling. Of course you will need the first box plot to contemplate this. Highly recommended if you enjoyed Yu Yu Hakusho!

Nothing is sacred to Matt Groening’s Futurama, so buckle your seatbelt and procure ready to rob off again with the crew of the Planet Verbalize. Volume Two leaps directly into more sticky situations for Frye, Leela, Bender, Dr. Zoidberg, Amy, Hermes, and Professor Farnsworth. Succor for more episodes are Zap Brannigan and Kiff, (Brannigan’s uniform is mild waaaaaaay too short!) and more of Mom from Mom’s Robot Company.

The only jam with Volume Two is that, again, there is not ‘Play All’ option on the discs, which is really annoying. You have to launch each episode separately and hit Play a second time. (This is fixed by Volume Three) . There are more commentaries and deleted scenes though, available for each episode.

Episode One-I Second That Emotion.
Nibbler chips a tooth biting Bender’s hinder. Everyone makes a fuss over Nibbler and Bender gets jealous. Bender flushes Nibbler down the toilet. Bender has to wear an emotion chip tuned to Leela’s frequency so he will feel her wound of loss. Everyone winds out down in the sewer looking for nibbler and finds the mutants colony.
Episode Two-Brannigan, Commence Again.
Zapp and Kiff are stripped of their titles for destroying the DOOP position. This episode spoofs Midnight Cowboy in a hilarious, side-clutching parody. Professor Farnsworth hires Zapp and Kiff. Zapp fools Bender and Frye into mutiny against Leela, but then they have to reinstate her so she can place the day.
Episode Three-A Head In The Polls.
It’s election day. Bender sells his body for cash, and Richard Nixon’s head buys it to accelerate for presidency against clones John Jackson and Jack Johnson. Leela and Frye have to serve Bender net his body abet and procure Nixon out of the presidential bustle.
Episode Four-Xmas Record.
Nothing says xmas like a roaring fire and a super-squirter bulky of cognac. The crew visits the Catskills on a ski hurry. The skiing is sidesplitting, especially the professors and Zoidberg’s. In Xmas of the future, the robot Santa Clause’s standards are too high, so *everybody* is waggish. If you are caught out after black, Santa will slit your head off. Not one for the kiddies. “I’m going to shove coal so far up your stocking you’ll be coughing out diamonds.”
Episode Five-Why Must I Be A Crustacean In Appreciate?
One of my favorites! Dr. Zoidberg becomes heavy with male jelly, and must visit his broken-down scuttling grounds on his home planet for the mating frenzy. But Edna, the female of Zoidberg’s interest, becomes infatuated with Frye. Zoidberg challenges Frye to Claw-Plock, a fight to the death.
Disc Two:
Episode Six-The Lesser Of Two Evils.
While driving an venerable fashioned automobile at the Past-O-Rama, fry hits another bending unit named Flexo. Bender and Flexo become friends. The professor takes everyone into his bed to reveal off the jumbonion atom they have to advise to the Miss Parallel Universe Contest. The crew requests a more comfortable setting for the showing, so Farnsworth takes them to the bath. The atom is stolen on the hurry to the Contest, and Flexo is suspected.
Episode Seven-Put Your Head On My Shoulder.
Amy buys a recent car and takes Frye on a drive to Mercury, where they urge out of gas. Amy and Frye become an item afterward. But when Frye tries to fracture up with Amy by taking Zoidberg with them on a perambulate to Europa, Zoidberg crashes the car and has to set aside Frye’s head onto Amy’s body.
Episode Eight-Raging Bender.
Hermes comes benefit from vacation with a brain slug on his head. In an incident at an ‘All My Circuits’ movie, Bender accidentally takes down The Masked Unit and is recruited for Ultimate Robot Fighting as Bender The Offender. When he looses popularity, he has to wear a tutu and fight as The Gender Bender. But the fight is really between Leela and an worn acquaintance that injure her feelings a long time ago.
Episode Nine-A Bicyclops Built For Two.
Everyone enters the internet, and spends time in chat rooms. During a virtual reality game, Leela finds one of her bear species but Frye destroys him. Now she has to procure him in genuine life. When he contacts her, she abandons a delivery to visit him, but discovers he’s not what he says he is. This episode spoofs ‘Married With Children’.
Episode Ten-A Clone Of My Maintain.
It’s Professor Farnsworth’s 150th birthday. Faced with his have mortality, he presents a clone he created 12 years ago from one of the shapelier growths on his assist. Hubert Farnsworth. Hubert is such a brat that the Professor calls the Sunset Robots to consume him away. Now the crew must glean him and bring him attend.
Disc three:
Episode Eleven-How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Serve.
Hermes makes a mistake and is demoted by the Central Bureaucracy and forced onto paid vacation. Morgan, a level 19 bureaucrat, replaces him, and is turned on by Frye’s filthiness. (Dirty Boy! Dirty Boy!) Morgan takes Bender’s brain because Bender catches her with Frye. It’s up to Hermes, who knows his device around Bureaucracy, to build the day.
Episode Twelve-The Deep South.
Instead of a pet license for Nibble, Hermes requisitions a mandatory fishing license. So the crew goes fishing. Bender catches a immense substantial mouth bass that pulls the ship underwater. Frye meets a mermaid named Umbriel from the Lost City of Atlanta.
Episode Thirteen-Bender Gets Made.
Bender causes an accident on the Elzar prove (digs on Emeril) and has to work off a debt. He falls into company with the robot mafia, and has to benefit them on a heist of Zuban cigars from Leela and Frye.
Episode Fourteen-Mother’s Day.
Mom is abet! The bony, chainsmoking feeble woman in the mechanical rotund suit. Mom has always hated mother’s day, so she programs all the robots to rebel against humans unless she is elected Supreme Overlord of Earth. Mom is grumpy because Dr Farnsworth once played ‘pelvic pinochle’ with her, and she misses him. Now Farnsworth must step up and consume Mom’s bra.
Episode Fifteen-The Quandary With Popplers.
This is one of my very favorites. Two days away from earth with no food, the Planet Verbalize stops at a remote planet for food. They collect a hole filled with fried slight and seek they are savory. Frye says, “They’re kind of like $ex, except I’m having them.” Bender starts selling popplers and their franchise is bought by Fishy Joe’s. But Leela discovers Popplers are knowing, and while trying to ban the consumption of them, the popplers violent state parents expose up. Zap Brannigan is support as negotiator.
Disc Four:
Episode Sixteen-Anthology of Interest 1.
Professor Farnsworth activates his “What If” machine. Bender wonders, ‘What if I were 500 feet enormous? ‘, Leela asks ‘What if I were more impulsive? ‘, and Frye asks ‘What if I never fell into the freezer? ‘. Guest stars Steven Hawking, Nichelle Nicols, and ex-VP Al Gore.
Episode Seventeen-War Is The H Word.
Love this episode too! Frye and Bender join the army to procure their 5% discount on ham-flavored gum, but are sent to war. Leela must enroll as a man to keep them, because Zap Brannigan doesn’t allow women in the armed forces. Spoofs M.A.S.H. Bender becomes a hero and is planted with a bomb location to explode when he says the word “AxSS”. Time is short for Leela and Frye to build him. Very amusing shower scene in this episode, plus the hilarious scene where Henry Kissinger’s head tells the Ball-People that, in war, we’ve all seen too many body bags and ball sacks.
Episode Eighteen-The Honking.
Bender’s uncle dies and leaves him his castle, on the condition that he spends one night in it. The crew stays the night, but Bender becomes troubled by a unfamiliar car. After consulting a circus fortune telling booth, Bender discovers he’s a Were-car. This episode makes fun of Christine and Dracula.
Episode Ten-The Cryonic Woman.
Bender and Frye rob the Planet Teach ship and go for a joyride. Leela is held responsible and all three are fired. Through an employment chip mix-up, Frye gets a job as cryogenic counselor in charge of waking freezers. He is surprised to eye his faded girlfriend Michelle waking up in the future. Michelle doesn’t fit in and convinces Frye to go to the future with her. Guest stars Paulie Shore.
As in Volume One, the humor of Futurama is adult and tantalizing, but campy and hilariously savory. It’s a warped comedy with a playful sense of humor, so if that is your cup of tea, accelerate out and grab all four seasons! Indulge In!

Futurama…. Cancellation Announced
You have got to be kidding me. Shows like Cedric, The Pitts, and 30 Seconds to fame…not to mention Married by America, Temptation Island 3, and Wanda at Gigantic peaceful secure production dollars, but they are cutting Futurama, and they already cancelled the Family Guy? Jeez. There truly is no accounting for taste. Futurama really hits it’s ride in Season 2, but even Season 1 was arresting, and well written. Catch this DVD and you will be turned on to the best expose you’ve never seen. Trust me and everyone else that write a review for this DVD status, you will be contented you bought it. And try out Season 1 and the Family Guy Seasons 1 and 2. Now that is MUST Scrutinize TV.

A teenager is being extorted by a gang of thugs which is lead by a childhood friend of his. To complicate things, his mature friend is also a sadistic homosexual who wishes to capture him as his lover. His space becomes more and more bleak until he answers an online ad offering to solve his problems. Through the ad he meets three other misfit teens who agree to support him pay his debt to the gang. Things go horribly sinister when the gang bursts in on the newfound friends and makes it definite that they will not occupy their arrangement out of wretchedness. In the destroy our lead gets his revenge, but loses his humanity in the process.

This movie is very mighty like the first in the series, and if you indulge in violent terror with a touch of sadism, then this film is definitely for you.
This is the most disgusting film I’ve ever seen. It is more disgusting than Volume 3. I haven’t seen Volume 1. This film incorporates the most disagreeable violence I’ve ever seen on television.
What makes it so positively terrifying is that, unlike Volume 3, it isn’t about grossing you out. This movie is indecent because you spy the actors convincingly acting out situations such as: a woman is kicked and pissed on the ground with the tips of her fingers severed off and bleeding and being told to call herself a whore. Scenes comparable to the one above construct up 3/4 of the movie.

Here’s the plot: a bunch of high school students torture a lonely boy to the point where we are talking about sado-masochistic homosexual and heterosexual rape; many of the characters being victimized are unprejudiced caught in the irascible plot at the irascible time and that makes the torture they undergo even tougher to scrutinize. A guy is made to peep while his girl-friend is raped and degraded in front of him by several men. The scenes last for hours. 3/4 of the movie is sadism that made the most violent scenes in Pulp Fiction a joke.
This movie compares to Caligula but is worse simply because at least in Caligula, you obtain catch a nice rupture. This is the most disgusting film I’ve ever seen. This movie was released in 1981 in Japan where it was mainstream. It simply boggles the mind. This film was only recently released on DVD in the US. I can’t imagine a movie of such sado-masochistic violence ever being released in theaters here.
It is a more violent film to glance than anything from Hollywood or Europe. This is the most violent and disgusting film I’ve ever seen. That’s why I give it 5 stars.

Things are getting shaken up in the Roy Revant household as the outlaw Rose moves in after her hideout is raided by the authorities. Roy has already had a difficult enough time adjusting to living with Solty so to assign it mildly, he’s not glad at the prospect of a fresh guest. In fact he tells Rose that he never agreed to let her discontinue and wants her out. It turns out that Rose is there for an ulterior motive. She wants Solty to join her criminal gang. Ok, they’re really not that terrible because like Robin Hood, Rose and her two brothers acquire to pay for medicine for the abominable. If Rose gets a kick out of as well, who’s to say whether she’s poor or not? But she does have a bit of a unlit past that is revealed when she passes the man that murdered her family on the street. It’s not all dreadful news for Rose though as she hooks up romantically with a glowing RUC agent, complete with a silver plate covering portion of his face Phantom of the Opera-style.

A substantial complaint I have about this expose is that its characters are develop challenged. For example, Rose has a spacious hunk of hair that falls in front of her face that looks like a plastic electric circuit. Her boots are too enormous and see like they would wing off the first time she ran. Solty’s immense green substitute cat/goat ears see like someone stuck a steel bar through her head. Roy Revant goes the opposite plan and is probably one of the most dead looking anime characters of all time. The second volume of Solty Rei finds the prove a bit adrift as Roy’s job as a bounty hunter seems to have taken a wait on seat to the drama that is Rose’s life. We hardly even perceive him battle one Resemble thug and that’s not all terrible. The writers seemed to want to focus more on the relationships and the personalities of the characters, mainly Rose. Sadly, Solty suffers the most within this focus because she has the mind of a elementary school kid and is playing the “blank slate” stereotype. Collected, this second volume was exciting in its occupy contrivance if you were getting tired of all the tough guy posing from the first volume. The animation is decent, but the CG can be jarring at times, and the character’s faces lack a lot in the expression department.

A welcome follow up to the first season, this second volume has more of the same in an edifying series that has no gawk.
Spun off from Animaniacs, the second season of this expose continues to follow the exploits of Brain the power-hungry lab mouse and his insane counterpart, Pinky. Although the characters are driven by their wish to ‘take over the world’, most of the episode plots follow this structure: – Brain has a bizarre understanding on how to grasp over the world, they look that they require money/special equipment etc, they employ most of the episode obtaining the required stuff, they are thwarted usually by Pinky’s studidity. Like Wile e Coyote, the characters tend to lose the point of thier plans and collect embroiled in ever more wierd adventures. Only really having the two titular mice constant in every episode, this series is not worried to gain residence and character instead of striving for ‘a laugh a minute’. This leads to gentle and subtle humour (or as gentle and subtle as power exasperated, egotistical and insane mice can find!) .
A far shout from today’s hyperactive cartoons that tend to give me a headache.

Theodora Goes Wild (1936) – Irene Dunne is portion of the leading family in a small-minded minute town. She is also the author of a provocative bestseller under an assumed name. Melvyn Douglas is a book jacket illustrator who figures out who the author is and assumes Theodora wants to be liberated from her miniature town existence. Probably the best film in this position.
Together Again (1944) Irene Dunne is a Vermont widow who goes to Current York to interview a sculptor, played by Charles Boyer. When she returns to Vermont she is surprised to perceive Boyer again when he decides to proceed into her garage to do his sculpting. Charles Coburn costars as Dunne’s confused father-in-law. A hard-to-find and laughable film.

The Doctor Takes a Wife (1940) Loretta Young plays the feminist author of books on the joy of being a single woman. Ray Milland is a college professor whose career advancement is harm by the fact that he is unmarried. When the two are erroneous as a married couple they determine to let the farce continue since it benefits both of them individually. A very great film and rarely seen.
A Night to Remember (1943) – Loretta Young plays the wife of a novelist. She rents a sunless apartment in Greenwich Village hoping it will provide the atmosphere her husband needs to write his next unusual. Instead, a body turns up in their apartment. Not as valid as the other films, but reliable enough.

Sony offers us one masterpiece of Screwball Comedy and three lesser but in varying degrees perfectly acceptable minor films.
The masterpiece among these four movies is of course “Theodora Goes Wild”, Columbia’s 1936 comedy about the adventures of miniature town girl Theodora Lynn in the immense city. Leading lady Dunne was so unattracted to such a role – a ditzy comedy – she took off for Europe in the hope Columbia studio boss Harry Cohn would give up on his ‘crazy idea’ of casting her, dignified and very wonderful Irene Dunne, a serious actress, as a slight town girl who secretly pens a inspiring bestseller under a pseudonym, Caroline Adams, then tries to cover her eminent identity help home from her church-going family and neighbors. Cohn stuck to his guns, and through one of those delicious transformations film is forever giving us, the melodramatic star of countless womens pictures reemerged reborn as a star comedienne!
The basic fable line is exquisite straightforward, Theodora doesn’t want anyone to contemplate she is the author of a book condemned in her absorb home town, Lynnfield – named after her family! When Michael Grant, played by Melvyn Douglas at his most urbane, the artist who painted the sexually alluring mask for the book, tricks Theodora’s publisher into meeting the highly elusive Ms ‘Caroline Adams’, the painter discovers she’s anything but the wild debauchee the book suggests. Have you played the organ in church since you were fifteen? No, well I have. And apt now I ask myself where did Caroline Adams advance from? How did all this launch? ”

And objective when Theodora thinks its superb to breath again and her secret is wonderful, who should appear whistling on the sidewalk in front of her aloof home but Grant, posing as an out of work drifter. When Theodora’s aunts hire him to do some work around the status she’s petrified. Naturally events follow a predictable course, with Theodora falling for Michael, but in this case Michael, ecstatic he has won through Theodora’s reserves, returns to the mammoth city, leaving late a shallow designate, claiming he has ‘freed’ Theodora. Confused and upset, Theodora feels frail and jilted.
Refusing to derive such treatment from Michael, and now infuriated by the wagging of local tongues gossiping about Theodora and a ‘GARDENER!’, a now flush with best-seller royalties Theodora sets off from slight town Connecticut for Fresh York City. There she discovers Michael also has his contain issues, including an repulsive bitter marriage continuing only because his father demands his son quit married as to not upset the father’s political standing. Instantly recognizing her chance, Theodora moves in to embarass Michael as he embarassed her, and the film zooms into overdrive as Theodora, now turned out in inappropriate fashions, and filling an interested press who lap up her juicy hints of broken marriages, becomes both avenging angel and funny muse.

This deliberately microscopic synopsis only suggests an outline of parts of the film; what gives it such special charm is not only a clever storyline but the ease with which Dunne plays off her fellow actors – radiant professionals who allow her to literally bloom from the girl of the three hankie weepies into the liberated laughable creature she becomes.
Dunne was so apt she received an Academy Award Nomination for Theodora, and the next year returned to comedy in the spontaneous perfection that is “The Dreadful Truth”. The Bad Truth – a rare comedy nominee for Best Narrate, and winner for best director. Dunne’s mesmerizing skill at reading comedy is truly incredible here, and once again she was nominated for Best Actress. For audiences of the times Dunne’s performances were moral out of left field, wholly unexpected for anyone who had sat through her playing interminable jilted women in such fare as “Support Street.” Now at her best, Irene Dunne illuminates the hide, an irridescent actress, and “Theodora Goes Wild” is the first film showing her in paunchy flit! Highest recommendation!
Of the three other films –
Dunne and Boyer in “Together Again” is a disappointment. I fail to study why honest because a celebrated actor or actress are in a film people lavish praise on it. This same uncritical adoration is laivshed indiscriminately on for several Myrna Loy/William Powell features – in particular the later films in the “Thin Man” series. Ladies and gentleman – “Together Again” is not a very favorable movie. Irene Dunne and Charles Boyer were earlier – and far better cast – in the valid film, “Admire Affair”, remade by its director Leo McCarey with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr as “An Affair to Remember. The later well known version, in ravishing color, and hugely celebrated, appears, when seen against the first version, plot too long, slothful and labored. Boyer is far better than Grant, ample as the noted lover, and Dunne more the assured lady than the shrinking Kerr. Sadly, like so many Columbias, this earlier film fell into a dejected plot and today looks very poorly. Esteem Affair So stare this film about Boyer the sculptor, and Dunne as itsy-bitsy town mayor, but go attend and peruse Dunne and Boyer produce magic together in the earlier film.
(Movie buffs as bored as I was by the basic film can at least have fun trying to site a number of uncredited performers, notably two-time Oscar winner Shelley Winters at the very beginning of her career; Carole Mathews, long since escaped from a Midwestern nunnery and gone Hollywood; and Miss World’s Magnificent, Adele Jergens, with her brunette hair now blonde as a stripper in what would too soon become her type casting. Oddly enough, for a wartime movie the director insists on showing far more of the aging Dunne than these young bombshells! At one point Ms Jergens is out of peek on stage performing while Dunne is before the camera backsatge in the ladies dressing room doing the right stripping while her dress, with had wine spilled on it, is being ironed by an attendant. One can only imagine what the servicemen felt watching a film with the likes of Unique York’s top reveal girl Adele Jergens beginning a strip tease when suddenly they are given such a switcheroo as that! The film also has an isolated and rather painful bittersweet elevator scene sharp one of the Minute Rascals.)
“The Doctor Takes a Wife” mixes Ray Milland and Loretta Young in a less than agreeable epic, but the two leads both offer charm. Gail Patrick is as ever typecasted as the other woman, and once again somewhat wasted. (To glimpse Patrick in absolute top manufacture one must examine “My Man Godfrey”, given a magisterial reissue on Criterion – My Man Godfrey – Criterion Collection ) Let’s hope the underrated Ms Young, perhaps too familar from her long running television prove, finally can be seen in her better films, such as the certain but utterly charming “The Farmer’s Daughter”.
The other Young feature finds her playing detective after a fashion – this is certainly nothing to procure indignant about.
Had “Theodora Goes Wild” been offered as a single feature this DVD divulge would have received a bulky and very deserved five stars. Hopefully a four star review will not preserve anyone from trying the lead feature. I should tag that Dunne was not alone in losing out in the Academy Awards – in 1936 Carole Lombard was passed over for her exquisite performance as Irene Bullock in “My Man Godfrey”, and in 1937 Garbo, up for her work in “Camille” lost out. In 1937 Dunne’s finest comedic partner, Cary Grant, amazingly wasn’t even nominated!

Perry Mason is as great a piece of American culture as apple pie and mom. You’d be hard pressed to net anyone of any age who doesn’t at least peep the name. Erle Stanley Gardner’s books have millions of devoted fans. The television display it spawned was amazing as entertainment, and today is widely regarded as one of the best shows television ever produced. Perry was the attorney you wanted on your side in a spot.

It was Gardner himself who picked Raymond Burr, even though the studio only agreed to let him test for Perry if he would test for Burger too! Barbara Hale was his heavenly secretary, Della Street, who kept Perry human and was in like with him. William Hopper was the shapely detective, Paul Drake. He had a mischievous and flirtatious relationship with Della but every viewer knew that secretly her heart belonged to Perry. And we liked it that scheme.
William Talman as D.A. Hamilton Burger would almost be ready to gloat, Lt. Tragg (Ray Collins) not far unhurried, when Perry would spring his client by revealing the proper killer on the observe stand. There has never been anything cessation to it in genre on television since. Its mix of drama, noir, and humor, and its truly likable central cast of characters, made for terrific viewing.

Season four was terrific. Releasing them in half seasons, the first half on volume one, the second on volume two now, is indeed an effective but annoying marketing intention. I agree the label should be lowered, but at the same time agree that as entertainment, this is an astonishing value. So, remarkable like gasoline and food, you pay what you have to. This was one of the best dramas ever to hit the air. Seeing it today reminds us objective how pleasant television can be, but is often not. It’s a bit of nostalgia and a lot of entertainment for TV fans. Fred Steiner’s “Park Avenue Beat” remains one of the most recognizable themes ever heard. A must for fans of Perry Mason.

These twelve TV films from 1961 are mostly stories based on the characters created by Erle Stanley Gardner. The books are more complete and informative and boom stories about life that is not experienced by most people. The books can yelp you why clear things are done, the films only demonstrate you what happened. The books remark you about “ropers”, rough or aloof shadows, and how to evade surveillance and avoid leaving a support prance. Some may demand the legality and ethics of Perry Mason’s tactics but most stories were written before the fresh true rules of the 1960s. The backgrounds pronounce about life in Los Angeles. It is difficult to film a scene at night but easy to relate it in a book. The seeming reality of these stories is due in allotment to characters who don’t stare like Hollywood actors.

With episode 3 and 4, I actually enjoyed it because now things are a bit settled down, you can focus on the characters and pick up a cramped bit more of character development than too many images and battles from the first volume.

I really do feel that “the WINGS of REAN” is a memoir that needs more than six episodes to boom. With so many characters and so many things happening, it’s really easy to bag lost with this anime but unlike the first volume with fighting and characters all over the plot, you find to recognize character development. How Lyukus and her mother don’t obtain along. How Lyukus is really compassionate towards Amalghan and how he shows the same thing attend for his dilapidated friend’s (and now enemy) daughter.
If there is one highlight from this series, it’s episode 4 and it’s one of the most spontaneous kissing scenes you will ever watch in an anime. I was quite surprised of how considerable was set into that kissing scene but nevertheless, I enjoyed it.

Again, the series is comely to glimpse. Titanic background, cold mecha and place ships galore but at the same time, so many characters that it’s easy to net confused. Not as poor as the first volume but fortunately, episodes 3 & 4 is worthy easier to follow and I found it quite savory.
The special feature includes Tomino’s Aerial Research Documentary “Over Tokyo 2006. Blooming great Tomino Yoshiyuki goes on a helicopter glide and takes pictures of Tokyo from above. Scouting areas that will be seen in the battle in the Upper Realm for OAV episode 5. Storyboards are shown and animation as well in this 17-minute special feature.
This was radiant icy and pleasurable to sight how the scouting status paid off for Tomino and crew as evident in episode 5.
And similar to the previous volume, there is “The WINGS of REAN” behind-the-scenes book with another in-depth interview with Tomino Yoshiyuki and his arrive to the second installment. The interviewer does a spacious job asking questions in regards to scenes, setting, storyline and more.

Give him 50 like he has done with Mobile Suit Gundam and I would be intelligent to peer how different the series would have turned out.
But nonetheless, again, I enjoyed this second volume and I definitely scrutinize forward to the next and final volume.
