Like most of these single disc mini compilations of Disney Cartoons you glean only 8 cartoons, half of which have already been released on DVD. Most of the other half will be released on December 11 2007 as a Disney Adore DVD. At $14.99 it is no bargain for a DVD less than an hour long, this is the equivilant of spending $30 for a short feature or $45 for a regular feature with extras.

The narrate quality is noble with supurb colors and provocative represent. Purists may complain about the white dust on the animation cells that is usually taken out on the Disney Treasures DVD releases, but this is the plan they were shown in the theaters 50 or so years ago. The audio is crisp and flawless in its current mono mix.

The following 4 titles are Unique to DVD and won’t be released on a Disney Treasures Tin DVD until Christmas 2007 or later.

Sadly, there are aloof 3 Huey, Dewey & Louie cartoons not available on DVD and they could have been included here instead of the 4 re-issues.

The bottom line is that this is a fun, reliable looking DVD. But it is too short and half of it is duplication. If you don’t mind paying $14.99 for 25 minutes of novel cartoons than will most likely be released next year on a larger cartoon collection, then this is worth getting. I bought it.

Episode 16 starts Shiori’s arc, and answers a a couple of burning questions: What is Shiori’s relation to Kaori and What is the nature of her illness?

Like the other volumes, volume 4 is another elegant addition to the series. And like the other volumes, the ending of episode 16 will leave you eagerly awaiting volume 5.

It’s been a while I wrote any reviews and what better device to open than reviewing an anime series I have been watching from the very beginning, Kanon. This volume continues from the last DVD, where it left off from the school dance and Mai is facing peril from the student council as they are trying to expel her from school for the damages caused at the dance. She escapes being expelled and is given one last warning as another incident will not be overlooked. Yuicihi is very concerned about Mai and decides to consume up training in order to relieve her fight against the spirits that dwell within the school. Mai and Yuichi are working together and through this event, Yuichi finally learns something well-known about his past and his ties with Mai. The arc ends in this DVD and the only thing you know for positive is, Mai won’t be re-visited in the series for a while and the focus of attention is now shifted towards Shiori, who’s mysterious disease is preventing her from going to school. At the demolish of the DVD, a evil news is revealed to Yuichi by Shiori’s sister as it turns out that…well, that is for you accumulate out by purchasing the DVD.

Overall, I am well ecstatic with how the “Mai Arc” finished. So far, the series is very powerful focused on Yuichi finding out his past, but with the addition of Shiori at the demolish of the volume, the series is taking a step forward with the developing relationship between Shiori and Yuichi. Not worthy information is revealed about Nayuki and Ayu, though there’s a sense that these 2 characters have noteworthy more to narrate later on. A astronomical DVD volume for a broad series. Should not be missed by anyone who has been watching from the beginning. Search For for my review of Volume 5 accurate soon (I’m almost done watching it)

It definite is nice to give give Mars Daybreak 4 stars again. After the mediocre volume 3, Volume 4 shoots the series abet to the caliber of its first 2 volumes. The action and fun is encourage and filler is kept to a minimum. Volume 4 brought assist the thrill of adventure that sucked me into the reveal and now it has deepened the chronicle and characters even more, especially with Vestimona and her unusual alliance. (Dont really care for that change but hey, I know I cant have it all my arrangement.) Hopefully Vestimona will return to her comrads later on. Speaking of her comrads, its mountainous to behold that the writers didnt forget about them. Even though they are detached shown very limited, it looks like my girl Rosetta has taken over for Vestimona. As for Grahm, its nice to glance him thinking about Vestimona a dinky more the draw that she understanding of him. Feelings are deepening and even though Id like to watch a obedient flashback of them it was at least nice to behold him thinking of her when she was younger, leading me to gain he tranquil has something to piece. Anyway, 2 more volumes to go and we now know the destination of the savor and after watching volume 4, Im determined it will be an awesome budge.

This site of 12 uncut Dragon Ball episodes really does aim to please. The General Blue Saga is one of the best sagas in Dragon Ball and there is a reason for this. It has incredibly fun to study episodes detailing Goku, Bulma, and Krillin’s adventures. They go into a pirates cave from long ago, search for esteem, and fight General Blue. There is even three episodes at the demolish of the saga which really stand out because they are when Goku comes to Penguin Village, Arale’s town. Arale is a girl (robot really) from Akira’s first successful manga, Dr. Scramble. For people who have read the manga, this is a true treat.

Not to mention that getting 12 episodes for unprejudiced over $30 dollars is an extraordinary deal. Don’t pass up the oppurtunity to procure this truly spectacular DVD residence. The General Blue Saga is not one to be missed.

In case you hadn’t noticed, Funimation is releasing the second allotment of Dragon Ball last on DVD. First came the DVD’s with Emperor Pilaf, the Tournament Saga, and the Red Ribbon Army, which made up the first (about) 1/3 of the series. Then came all those King Piccolo/Piccolo Jr. DVD’s, which made up the last 1/3 of the series. Now comes the middle child of the Dragon Ball troika, starting with General Blue.

At the time the General Blue saga was originally being released, Funimation was composed doing it on video. Round about the first Tien Shinhan tape, Funimation figured that DVD was the arrangement to go and phased Dragon Ball VHS’s off the market. For some reason, most of the General Blue episodes weren’t released very widely on video, so most people (like me) didn’t glance them.

Which is a shame, because the General Blue episodes were some of the most fun of the series. An conventional pirate fortress burly of traps and a killer robot. A squad of Red Ribbon soldiers who live to regret taking Master Roshi and Start hostage. And Penguin Village, the whimsical setting of Akira Toriyama’s first manga/anime series “Dr. Scurry.” As a coup de grace, “Dr. Slump’s” central character, Arale, gets to headbutt detestable General Blue out of Goku’s life forever.

Well, that’s it for General Blue. Cease tuned for the Commander Red, Fortune Teller Baba, and Tien Shinhan Sagas.

The material on these DVDs would collect 5 stars, but I’ve given it 3 because of some mistakes by Disney.

To inaugurate off I want to warn everyone that there appears to have been a mistake during the production of this DVD. The last reel of ‘Secrets of Life’ was originally in cinemascope and some copies of this title indeed do prove this in cinemascope with a message at the beginning of the movie forewarning the viewer that the film will change to widescreen reach the extinguish of the film. However some copies of this title do not have this and the footage is pan and scan. So it will probably be luck of the design as to which one you fetch! Hopefully Disney will offer a disc replacement program for all of those melancholy people!

Aside from that stutter this is a incredible collection of Disney Legal Life Adventures. The 2 features are astonishing ‘Secrets of Life’ really is delicate in every device and ‘Perri’ being a correct life fantasy based upon the current by Felix Salten (who wrote Bambi) has a distinguished more of a Disney film feel to it than the slighty more educational nature of the Apt Life Adventures.

Since the contents are already listed above I won’t bother listing them again let me impartial say these films are truly attractive and unbelievable in every arrangement and the bonus features are so in depth and so informative it’s fake!

One negative (aside from the fact that some people will derive an incorrectly framed version of ‘Secrets of Life’) is that the Disneyland prove ‘Adventure in Wildwood Heart’ is presented in shadowy and white, yet when it is being discussed in the bonus features the clips are in color! If color footage of it survives, why was this not provided instead of the unlit and white version? Disney construct unimaginative decisions!

I know of this film only through a richly illustrated book for children, Secrets of Life, with photographs from the film by the Disney Studio. I borrowed the book several times from the library simply for its astonishing photographs of the life of bees. One sequence struck me-how bees do a ‘dance’ to ‘tell’ other bees in the hive where a ample source of nectar(a field of flowers) is. According to Roy Disney the film looks better than it did when originally released. According to other reviewers the movie includes resplendent time lapse photography of flowers accompanied by the classical allotment, Bolero. Nature lovers, rejoice! This space also includes Perri, the life of a squirrel, which was also well received.
